Milford Paintout & Wet Paint Sale - Saturday, May 13, 2017

Artists must register by April 20, 2017

Row House Gallery and Historic Milford Association proudly present this FREE event. Artists can choose any topic within a 10-mile radius of Main Street, Milford, OH 45150 and may start painting anytime on Saturday, May 13. The wet-paint sale will be held on the sidewalks in front of participating businesses, 5:00 pm through 7:30 pm. Artists retain 100% of any sale.

2017 Art Affaire

The Greater Milford Area Historical Society (GMAHS) is accepting applications for the 12th Annual Art Affaire to be held September 23, 2017 in historic Milford, Ohio. The show is juried and will accommodate up to 115 artists. 2016 show attendance was estimated at 8,000+.

Painted Pets - Petcasso 2017, benefiting Pets In Need

Entry Deadline Friday, May 12, 2017

The ‘Painted Pets’ are dog and cat forms transformed into one-of-a-kind works of art by professional artists (just think "Big Pig Gig" on a smaller scale). The finished pieces will be on display at the Cincinnati Art Museum and other venues around the city prior to being displayed at the Petcasso event. The 2017 Petcasso event, including the Painted Pet auction, will benefit Pets In Need of Greater Cincinnati. The fourth annual Petcasso fundraiser will be held at The Center on Saturday evening, November 18, 2017.

East Row Garden - Plein Air Painting Event

June 3 - 4, 2017, 10 am to 4 pm

Artists are invited to paint along the tree-lined streets of Newport’s East Row Historic District during the 2017 Garden Walk as visitors (typically 700-900) walk the streets on a tour of 8-10 private gardens. Passes are necessary to visit the gardens and free passes are available to artists who paint along the streets.

2017 Art Kudos Juried Competition - $4,500 in cash awards

Deadline June 30, 2017

Art Kudos is an annual juried competition. Artists selected as finalists participate in an online-only exhibition and have the opportunity to win cash awards. Open to all artists 18 or older. Eligible media include: acrylics, oils, watercolors, pastels, drawings, printmaking, photography, digital art, sculpture, installations, wood, glass, ceramics, fiber art, and mixed media. Media not accepted: video/film, wearable art. $35 for 3 images. 2017 Awards Judge: Mike Calway-Fagen is an artist, writer, and curator based in Athens, GA where he is Assistant Professor of Sculpture at the University of Georgia.

It all starts with the Woman's Art Club Cutural Center, The Barn, with two days of painting followed by a wet-paint exhibition, reception and sale Saturday evening. Sunday will provide an additional opportunity for viewing or purchasing art.
