Beware of scam artists on the internet. We all are flattered when someone wants to buy one of our paintings. Scam artists usually are from overseas, use bad grammar, have an "urgent" need for your painting....sometimes two or three. They also offer to take care of shipping and will send you a cashier's check for more than the amount of the paintings and ask you to send them the change. Don't fall for it. Assume all over-payments are tips and keep the change. You determine what payment you will accept. I suggest you have them send you a money order that they can obtain from any local WalMart Store for 60 cents. This money order will have their address on it and I suggest that is the address you should ship the painting to if you are inexperienced in selling artwork. Do not ship any paintings until the check clears. Happy painting.

The club is starting a new opportunity for members: "Open Studio" This means the club will be open to all members on the last Monday of each month, from 7:00 – 9:00 p.m.. Artists may come and paint, draw or just socialize for a relaxed evening of 'art'. Don Peck will facilitate and have the club open for all who wish to stop in. Bring a snack or munchie, if you'd like.
I have initiated a new thing at the club. It is our "Featured Artist ".
I am drawing names to ask artists to bring in 2 or 3 paintings to hang on our Entry Wall at the club. I never want the wall to be bare. We are an Art Club and it should show.
When we have an exhibit up, there will be no special featured artist, but in between, we will.
If you would like to be entered into the drawing for "Featured Artist" please email your name to: kayworz@cincinnatiartclub.com
